Finalist: Personal Health Monitor
The Personal Health Monitor is designed to continuously monitor and analyze patients’ heart, pulse oximetry, temperature, and daily activity patterns
The Personal Health Monitor project will integrate a multi-channel ECD analog front end for respiration measurement; an optical pulse oximeter, heart rate sensor IC, photodetector and LED for heart rate and pulse oximetry measurement; precision temperature sensor for temperature measurement and 9-axis motion co-processor for activity monitoring with the Renesas RZ/A Stream-it! development kit. The Stream-it! development kit’s 4.3” touch-panel display module can be used to control the device and convey real-time information regarding patient health.
Abnormal measurements can be reported to health professionals through a Wi-Fi connection to a web server or mobile device.
